Gary Crowe

Gary Wayne Crowe, 80, of Belgrade, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2025, with his loving wife Darlene by his side.

Gary was born in Skowhegan, Maine, on April 29, 1945. He was the son of Newton Crowe and Gladys (Murray) Crowe.

He graduated from Madison High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp in 1964 until he was honorably discharged in 1968. Gary worked on a dairy farm bottling milk, maintained apartments and worked on an oil rig in Texas. He owned a boarding home for almost 30 years when he retired.

Gary loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. He also enjoyed reading and listening to old music. He also loved using his tractor for all the projects his wife could think of. He was a hard worker and would do anything for his friends and family. Anyone that knew Gary loved him.

Gary was predeceased by his father Newton Crowe, his mother Gladys (Murray) Crowe and two brothers Linwood Crowe and Melford “David” Crowe, his brother in laws Gerald Warren, Stanley Cummings Jr. and Jeff Goodell and his MIL Lorraine Cummings and FIL Stanley Cummings Sr.

Survivors include one son, Eric Crowe and his wife Melanie of Richmond, ME and their sons Wyatt and Avery Crowe, three daughters, Stacey Crowe of Hope, ME and her two daughters Regan and Sage. Julie Veilleux and her husband Chad of Belgrade, ME and their three sons Brandon, Anthony and Dominic, and Joni Barney and her husband Jody of Sidney, ME and their daughter Jillian. His sister Sandy Warren of Winslow, ME Diane Goodell of Norridgewock, ME, Debbie Burgess of Rockland, ME and his brother Dennis Crowe and wife Cindy of Bluffton, SC. As well as in laws Bill and Ellen Witham, David and Robin Cummings, Bob and Diane Cummings, Holly Cummings, Hardy and Noella Cummings, Diane Cummings, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The interment is to be held on June 16th at 1pm at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road Augusta, ME.
