Todd Ewen Guptill, 60, of Winslow, Maine, passed away on September 3rd, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
He married his wife, Sally, in 1987, beginning a life together that spanned nearly four decades—filled with family, friendships, and countless cherished memories.
Todd was the proud father of three sons: Chad and his wife, Ashley; Devin and his partner, Chelsea; and Zachary and his wife, Caitlin. He is also survived by his parents, Carol and Larry, his brother, William and his husband, Steven, mother in law's Cynthia Karkos and Georgia Karkos, brother in law Rick Karkos, sister and brother in law's Liz and Melvin Doyen, Lisa and Michael Cabelin and Paul and Louann Harmon. Todd is predeceased by his father in law Brian Karkos and brother in lawJim Karkos.
He was also endlessly proud of his grandchildren: Olivia, Kinsley, Charlotte, Evelyn, Addison, Lincoln, and Elizabeth. Todd also had numerous nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.
Todd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His greatest joy was his family, and when it came to the people he loved, he never missed showing up. He was there for his children and grandchildren time and time again—at countless games, activities, birthdays, celebrations, and all the moments in between. If it mattered to them, it mattered to Todd, and they always knew they could look for him and he would be there.
Todd brought so much laughter to his family. He had a way of making people smile, and some of the memories we treasure most are the funny stories and moments that could only have happened with Todd. He loved family time, casino trips with his good friend Dave, the excitement of a scratch ticket, quiet moments at home with his beloved dog Birdie, and simply being around the people he cared about.
He was also someone you could count on. He was always willing to lend a hand and help someone who needed it. He worked hard throughout his life, but no matter how busy life became, he made time for the people he loved.
That may be one of the greatest things Todd leaves behind—the example of simply being there. He didn’t just tell us how much he loved us; he showed us over and over again. He showed up. He made us laugh. He helped when help was needed. And he made sure the people he loved knew they mattered.
We will miss his presence more than words can say, but we will carry so much of Todd with us—the laughter, the stories, the memories, and especially the lesson he lived every day: show up for the people you love.
Todd’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Andwell Home Hospice and his hospice team: Megan, Erin, and Pam for their kindness, compassion, and care they gave to Todd and our entire family.
Family and close friends will gather at a later date to celebrate Todd’s life.
